Vintage 1950s Pierre Balmain Velvet Circle Skirt with Rose Pattern Velvet Ribbon objects 1920s UnfortunatelyThis is a gorgeous 1950s vintage circle skirt made by the fashion house of Pierre Balmain. It is made of black velvet with rows of dusty rose velvet and silk ribbon around its circumference. The silk ribbon is woven with roses. The skirt is unlined, but the ribbon is backed with protective net mesh. It closes with a metal zipper at the side. The skirt was posed with a crinoline underneath it the use of a crinoline gives the skirt a fuller look, as it
