There is a whiff of phenolic character to the ripe and vaguely exotic aromas of white peach

do seem phenolically ripe

especially pear

This is the first wine to display any appreciable amount of wood and even here it’s quite subtle as it easily allows the notably exotic aromas of dried yellow fruit

supported by dark cassis fruits and black pepper with cherry in depth

He is perhaps the countrys finest exponent of sparkling Seyval, though my top mark in a recent tasting went to this Chardonnay and Pinot blend for its savoury mushroom aromas and fresh but bready palate.
