This is a classic Vosne that is stylish

the 2012 becomes more finessed with time in the glass

fine-grained frame and bags of freshness

there seems to be no end to this estates ambition

Reduction masks the underlying fruit though there is a really lovely inner mouth perfume to the punchy and gorgeously textured middle weight flavors that brim with minerality on the sappy and wonderfully complex finale that flashes first-rate length

Camille Giroud, Clos Vougeot Vintage:2022 This is a classic Vosne(from Petit Maupertui). There is enough reduction to dominate the fruit though it clearly seems ripe. Otherwise there is first rate volume, punch and mid palate density to the muscular flavors that are also quite firmly structured but even so there is less youthful austerity than is typical for Clos de Vougeot. Still, this is definitely going to require at least moderate patience and like the Chambertin, this is excellent as well. (92 95) 2030+
