Description

The origin of the Kniphofia known as 'Lola': Jimmy Massey sited this large specimen in a yard in the Morganton

We see slight differences in size of the plants as well as the size of the teeth and the width of the leaves

Since Lady in Red fern is a tight clumper

each prominently highlighted by silver leaf veins

The shiny green leaves are faintly spotted yellow

Helleborus foetidus Dunham Gaura The origin of the KniphofiaOur first plants of Helleborus foetidus were a wonderful form from the late Rachel Dunham of Cary, NC, so we introduced this strain in her honor in 2008. In the first season the plants grow rapidly, forming a substantial, thick, 20" tall, green stalk adorned with dark green, serrated edge, evergreen foliage. In late winter, clumps of Helleborus foetidus 'Dunham' are topped with a giant candelabra of green bells that would have made Liberace proud.
