Pierre Girardin other_regions_italy Planted in 2002(75% whole clusters; from a parcel near the bottom of Clos St. Jacques). A brooding and reticent nose grudgingly offers up its array of ripe but cool wild black berries and forest floor that is trimmed in hints of wood and menthol. There is excellent vibrancy to the detailed and stony middle weight flavors that are not particularly dense but do offer outstanding length where the supporting tannins are quite fine grained in the context of what is
