Denis Bachelet, Bourgogne Rouge Vintage:2018 and the 2011 Gran Enemigo

and the 2011 Gran Enemigo Gualtallary Single Vineyard had to fulfill great expectations

This is a really interesting wine because it combines both power and finesse with superb delineation

Ramonet rarely misses with this wine and they certainly didn’t in 2014 though I would point out that this is going to need time in bottle to develop further depth

This is notably finer than the Charmes but not more complex

Here the nose is dominated by sulfur at present and thus impossible to read
