The wider left toe, a scant 3 8" from needle, provides better fabric feed control especially on newer machines with a wider distance between feed dogs. It also features a 1 4" notch in front of and behind the center needle position. The notches are a perfect reference for starting, stopping, and pivoting. Guaranteed to fit Singer
