John Meir & Son was active from 1837 until 1897 and was located at the Green Gates works, Tunstall, Staffordshire. The addition of the word England under the ribbon mark on the underside dates the piece to the 1890s. The piece is fully transfer printed on the interior of the bowl with a blue on white image on each of the four exterior sides.. It is made in a rectangular form
