Vintage 1920s 30s SS Empress of Australia Tea Strainer & Napkin Ring CP Canadian Pacific Line industrial china banding that crosses the bodiceThis is a tea strainer and napkin ring, each affixed with the crest of the SS Empress of Australia, a passenger steamship operated by the Canadian Pacific Steamship Line. The ship was originally launched in 1913 for the Hamburg America line as the SS Tirpitz and sold to CP in 1919, renamed Empress of Australia in 1922. It should be noted that King George VI travelled to Canada in 1939 on the Empress of Australia rather than use the Royal Yacht, so the
