Description
This vintage is perhaps shapelier and more saturated with rose
in 2014 the differences are mostly textural
What’s immediately noticeable is the intensity of minerality on the nose
This is aromatically less refined but more complex with its pungent nose of hazelnut
The palate is medium-bodied with a subtle honeyed note on the entry
Olivier Leflaive, Bourgogne Oncle Vincent Vintage:2018 This vintage is perhaps shapelier(from Puligny vines). Here too there is a whiff of sulfur present on the wood trimmed aromas of white fleshed orchard fruit where various citrus elements lurk in the background. As is usually the case, the delicious medium weight flavors possess a bit more volume and concentration as well as better depth on the bitter lemon zest inflected finish. Worth checking out for its level.
